Knoword is a word game, but that's not all. Users can create games with custom sets of words that we call "packs". Packs can be anything, but teachers like to use packs as fun vocabulary exercises that they can easily share with their students.
For a deeper dive on Knoword, packs, and more, check out our reference guide.
Additionally, students don't need to create a Knoword account for thier scores to be recorded by their teachers in assignments.
You do need a Knoword account if you want to create your own packs or assignments.
No, Knoword is free to use, but we impose limits on the amount of packs and assignments that teachers are allowed to create on a free account. In addition, some features like image clues and non-watermarked flash cards are only available to paid members.
For more information about the differences between free and paid accounts, check out our pricing page.
Yes, we accept purchase orders as a method for buying memberships in bulk. You can send your purchase order to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us with a description of your needs, and we'll get back to you with an invoice and a link to a webpage where you can make a payment.
When you purchase our Team membership, you're paying for multiple teachers to have Pro-level privileges, but linking the payment information to one account. That account will act as the "administrator" for your school or department. They'll be able to decide which teacher accounts are given paid privileges.
Yes, the Team membership administrator may choose to remove a teacher from their team at any time. This will instantly revoke that teacher's Pro-level privileges. A Team membership administrator may then invite any other teacher to the team to fill the newly vacated spot.
In your billing settings, toggle the "auto renew" switch next to your plan name to the off position. If you don't see any switch to toggle and your plan name says "Basic", then you aren't currently paying for a Knoword membership.
