Your Pack Editor Got an Upgrade
We’re excited to share some updates to the Knoword pack editor! These changes make it easier to learn how to use the editor, navigate its features, and avoid common mistakes while building your packs. Here’s a closer look at what’s new:
A tour of the updated “new pack” experience
When you create a new pack, our mascot, Cosmo 🦊 will pop in to give you a quick tour of the essentials of pack editing. These friendly little messages highlight key features, like how to add words and upload a cover image. With Cosmo’s help, you’ll be up and running in no time.
Improved filtering
The pack editor filter input helps you quickly locate specific words or concepts you’ve added to your pack, whether you’re editing, removing, or refining them. We’ve made some subtle changes that make this tool more useful and intuitive.
- Case-insensitive search: Whether you type “rock” or “RoCk,” you’ll see the same results, simplifying your searches.
- Number of results: A number next to the filter input now shows how many words match your search query.
- Better empty state: If there are no matching words, a message and icon will let you know, providing clarity and direction.
Duplicate word detection
We’ve all been there: You’re so excited about adding new words to your pack that you accidentally add the same word twice. Oops! Well, not anymore.
Now, when you add a word that’s already in your pack, we’ll show a friendly confirmation dialog asking if you really want to add it again. This helps keep your packs clean and duplicate-free. Think of it as a second pair of eyes—but digital and way less judgmental.
Seeing double? We’ll let you decide.
These updates are all about making your experience with Knoword more enjoyable and efficient. Whether you’re creating a pack for a classroom assignment or a fun word game with friends, we hope these changes make the process even smoother.
What do you think of the updates? Let us know! We love hearing your feedback—it’s how we keep improving.
