Pack Actions

Knoword packs offer many useful functions beyond just playing games. Through the pack actions menu, you can share content with others, organize your favorite packs, and manage your own creations.

Opening the pack actions menu

To access the pack actions menu, click on the three dots in the top-right corner of any pack card. A list of available actions will appear. The options you see depend on whether you’re logged in and whether you created the pack.

Actions available to everyone

These actions are available whether or not you’re logged in to a Knoword account:

• Preview: Take a look at the terms and clues in a pack before jumping into a game. This is a great way to make sure the pack fits your subject matter, skill level, or learning goals.

• Copy link: Copies the direct URL to the pack’s game page to your clipboard. You can paste this link wherever you want—an email, a class website, a chat app—to easily share the pack with others.

• Show QR code: Opens a scannable QR code that links directly to the pack. This is especially helpful in classroom settings where students are using tablets or phones. Just project your screen, have students scan the code, and they’ll be taken straight to the game.

• Print: Download the pack as a printable worksheet or a set of DIY flashcards. This is ideal when devices aren’t available or when you want to incorporate offline activities. You can customize the format to fit your needs—check out our full printing guide for more details.

• View collection: If the pack is part of a collection, this option will be visible. Clicking it takes you to a page that displays all the packs in this collection. It’s useful if you enjoyed a pack and want to explore other related ones by the same creator.

Actions for logged-in users

These actions are only available if you’re logged in to your Knoword account:

• Bookmark: Save the pack to your personal list of bookmarks so you can return to it later. If you’ve already bookmarked the pack, the action will say “Unbookmark” instead. You can view all your bookmarked packs in the My bookmarks page.

• Duplicate: Create your own editable copy of the pack. This is handy if you find a pack you like but want to adjust some of the terms or clues to better suit your students. For more information about duplicating packs, see our guide on the subject.

• Assign: Turn the pack into a classroom assignment with custom settings and progress tracking. You can configure the game mode, time limit, strictness settings, and more. Learn more in our Introducing assignments guide.

Actions for pack owners

If you’re logged in and you created the pack, you’ll see a couple of additional options:

• Edit: Opens the pack editor, where you can change the title, category, language, terms, clues, or any other detail. If you’re looking to make updates, this is the place to do it.

• Delete: Permanently removes the pack from Knoword. Assignments created with this pack will still exist, but they won’t be playable anymore. You’ll also have the option to delete the pack’s words from your word bank—but don’t worry, any words shared with other packs will remain.
